Danantara builds housing ecosystem to expand affordable access

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Danantara Indonesia is building an integrated housing ecosystem spanning building materials, developers, contractors, and financing to expand access for affordable homes and support the government’s three-million-home programme.

CEO of the Danantara Investment Management Agency Rosan Roeslani said cross-sector collaboration was needed to give people access to affordable housing that meets decent living standards and improves welfare.

"Danantara Housing Expo 2026 reflects Danantara Indonesia’s support, together with the state-owned enterprise ecosystem, for the three-million-home programme, a government priority," Roeslani said in a statement received here on Sunday.

Danantara aims to strengthen housing supply with affordable prices and quality, offer competitive financing, and make homeownership more accessible, he said.

For financing, Danantara is promoting cooperation among state-owned banks under Association of State-Owned Banks (Himbara) and other financial institutions within the state-enterprise ecosystem to expand access to affordable housing loans.

"This means providing competitive, affordable financing through Himbara banks and other financial institutions within the state-owned enterprise ecosystem, while making access easier," Roeslani explained.

Housing has become an urgent priority, he said, adding that Danantara and the Housing and Settlement Areas Ministry are working to accelerate efforts to meet demand.

Housing and Settlement Areas Minister Maruarar Sirait said Danantara Housing Expo 2026 could connect consumers with developers, banks, and other industry players within a single housing ecosystem.

"We hope people can more easily find information to choose homes that suit their needs and obtain appropriate financing," Maruarar said.

Meanwhile, state-owned PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. or SIG is providing building-material solutions aimed at improving construction efficiency, including its precision interlocking bricks.

SIG President Director Indrieffouny Indra said the innovation supports the government’s three-million-home programme by providing building materials focused on speed, efficiency, quality, and sustainability.

Danantara Housing Expo 2026 held from August 27 to 30, offering more than 120,000 properties from more than 130 state-owned and private developers.

The properties are divided into First Home, Family Home, and Premium Living zones, targeting consumers with different housing needs and purchasing power.

Twelve state-owned developers are offering about 16,559 units across 98 projects in 23 provinces, with total property inventory valued at Rp9.79 trillion (US$551 million).

Of those units, 6,611 are designated for low-income households, while the remaining 9,948 are classified as non-low-income housing.
